Qi Gong (Chi Gung)
Qigong can be translated as ‘energy work’. Qigong refers to a wide variety of practices which focus on health enhancement, and sometimes are used as a supplement to martial arts, or as a kind of meditation practice.
Qigong is a general term for a range of practices that work with subtle energies in the body including the breath, to strengthen the flow and balance of energy in the sense of Chinese meridian theory. They include holding postures, and simple movements repeated mindfully. Eight Section Brocade and Hun Yuan Qigong are two typical sets.
